| Wedding Rings plays a
very important part in a wedding. The wedding ring
function normally takes place a couple of days before
the actual wedding takes place. Different religions
have their own significance regarding wedding ring.
But one thing which is common in all religion is
that the wedding ring is worn on the ring finger of
the left hand that has direct connection with the heart
and the theme associated with wedding ring is that
it signifies togetherness. Usually, in all the customs,
wedding rings and engagement rings are the same.
In some weddings, ring is worn on the wedding day itself; as in the
Christian wedding and in some it is worn a few days earlier. According
to the customs of Church of England, "With this ring I thee wed”, symbolises the importance of a wedding ring.
A wedding ring is made up of a precious metal stones, either in combination of gold, silver or platinum. Normally, it is worn on the ring finger of the left hand, but in some countries, for instance, Norway, Germany, Russia wedding ring is worn on the right hand's ring finger. |
